Trade Show Recap: Channel Partner Expo 2013
Nexogy and more than 3,000 channel partners hit the jackpot at this year’s Channel Partner Expo. Attendees gathered in high style at The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to discuss emerging communications technologies, promote new offerings and enjoy some good, old face-to-face networking.
The Channel Partner Expo is the premier networking and education event for communications professionals with a focus on the indirect sales channel. At the show, Nexogy showcased its cutting-edge hosted solutions and innovative product offerings to agents, VARs, MSPs and other vendors.
This year’s event was full of great companies and people—and just over 40% of the attendees were new faces, according to the Expo organizers. Just in case you missed the show, we pulled together some of our favorite highlights.
Cloud services were all the rage at the Expo, with vendors from across the country showcasing their offerings. That was music to our ears: Nexogy’s hosted solutions run without complicated hardware and provide your business with the flexibility it needs to thrive. Hosted solutions reduce budget spend, while streamlining operations and increasing efficiency.
At the Nexogy booth, we showed attendees how they could win big with our hosted solutions, including:
EyeTera in particular drew, well, eyeballs. Dozens of VARs and consultants were blown away by the technology, which is even better before and now features audio capabilities.
Everyone’s a Winner at the Nexogy Booth
Inspired by the Vegas lights, Nexogy’s booth adopted a theme of Vegas-style slot machines—complete with prizes for lucky gamblers.
Using NEXO Hosted Voice—with bring your own bandwidth (BYOB) and bring your own device (BYOD)—attendees dialed a phone number selected from a pot to enter a giveaway contest. The winners’ phones rang simultaneously, thanks to six softphones running on multiple devices (including tablets, PCs and Macs)!
In total, four lucky winners received a pair of Dr. Dre Beat headphones. Using a wireless router and Verizon 4G LTE from Sling Broadband, contestants made a total of 150 calls over the course of the contest.
The 2013 Channel Partner Expo was a blast for everyone involved. We were especially proud to share our strategic vision with attendees. Going forward, we intend to continue delivering affordable and effective hosted solutions, while keeping our clients educated on the latest technologies—such as Web RTC, the next generation of communications.
