Manage Incoming Group Calls for Your Organization

Hunt Group or “Ring Group” is an incoming call management feature that allows you to manage incoming calls for groups within your organization and the order the phones within those groups will ring.

Hunt Group, or Ring Group will apply the most when you want every phone in your company to ring when there is no receptionist and you have an incoming call from your toll-free or main number or when you have several internal departments such as sales, billing, support, etc and you need a specific number of phones to ring when that group is reached.

Much like ACD Call Queue, there are 4 types of configuration for calls coming into your Hunt Groups:

  • Round-robin (longest idle) routes callers to the available agent that has been idle longest

  • Ring All routes callers to all available agents at the same time.

  • Linear Hunt routes callers to the available agents in a predefined order. The order is defined when editing the queue's agents.

  • Linear Cascade routes callers to groups of available agents in a predefined order. The order is defined when editing the queue's agents.
